They say that to figure out if something is "worth it", you should take the cost of the item, and divide it up by the number of times you'll use it. With this theory in mind, I was able to justify buying a beautiful heather grey, cashmere, fits-me-like-a sexy-glove, feels-like-buttah, tank top.

I visited what I hope is going to be my new office in the Flatiron District and was feeling optimistic when the alluringly monochromatic windows of Club Monaco beckoned me in.

So, fine. I don't have a car payment anymore since moving to NYC... for the cost of one, I now have a great tank top! I like this better than I ever liked my car.

Hrm, did this come in black..... ?

You go girl! I mean the cost of one car payment sounds pretty damn dramatic... but do what makes you happy! As long as this splurge is a non-habit-forming-getting-you-into-70-years-of-debt then whateve! :) I'm about to splurge on $200 worth of Victorias Secret clothing- but I get 4 pairs of jeans, a dress I've wanted forever, 3 tops, and a pair of dress pants. Totally worth it! Miss you! Love you!

LOL. I exaggerate for effect. It would be a cheap car. :-P

I will tell Em that you are buying a dress, she's the Dress Merchant for Vicky's, so she will be proud!

Hilariously enough, one of our "girl" activities will be cashmere sweater shopping - as there is a lot of cashmere here and it's very inexpensive. I'm looking for a fitted, long-sleeve black sweater and maybe a bright blue one too for traveling, as they pack up nice and small, but keep me warm. Other wool makes me itch anyway.
