This morning the Iowa Supreme Court ruled that the state's ban on gay marriage was unconstitutional. Unanimously.

i'm so excited and blown away by this. in 10 (or hopefully less) years when the rest of the country has finally realized that this is a civil rights issue (not religious or moral) iowa will be seen as a great example of tolerance. i'm so proud to be from iowa!

awesomeness! I'm not gay or anything, but this is still pretty awesome news for any freedom-lover out there, the way I see it, banning gay marriages by law is a straight violation of the separation of church and state, freedom of religion and whatnot.
go Iowa, be the example u can be!
