This site would not be complete without a section dedicated to the parties and fashion that I have produced that have given my life so much fabulous color.
You'll find tons of pictures over here. I didn't take most of the pictures, so be sure to check the credits to see who the great photogs were.

The Grey Market 1 + White Hot
The inaugural Grey Market was an affair to remember. With over 900 people attending over the weekend, the event made a big impact in a not-so-small space. Lasting three days, the event featured 18 hip local designers setting up mini-boutiques for the weekend in an 6,000 sq ft second floor loft space. The kick off party, White Hot had salsa dancers, breakdancers, a fashion show, amazing catering, live participatory art, a band, with everyone dressed in white (and you guessed it, everyone looked hot). The evening even resulted in a meeting that ended in a wedding two years later. Hot stuff.

The Grey Market 2 + The Black Tie & Bling Bash
The sophomore Grey Market moved to a first floor 8,000 square foot retail space, and had 20 funky designers setting up shop and selling their wares for the weekend. The kick off party, The Black Tie and Bling Bash saw DJs, another great band, more cocktails, more runway models prancing, more dancers, and one unforgettable performance pairing local hip-hop artist Aeon Grey with a live harpist.

The Grey Market 3 + A Golden Affair
The third and final installment of the Grey Market was even more of the same fabulousness - with an awesome performance by Dessa from Doomtree headlining the kick off party, A Golden Affair. Live models primped in the windows, and revelers dripped on gold on this hot summer night.

The Warhol Ball
As founding member and VP of Events for The Des Moines Art Center’s Art Noir, the goal was to have an amazing event to show who we were and what we were about. Hence: The Warhol Ball. Nearly 400 people filled the museum lobby, which was hung with 16,000 square feet of mylar to evoke Warhol’s Factory. Co-produced with Ambush’s Nathan Hewitt, this event was insane. Warhol ball had a live DJ, dancing, and costume contest inside, and a live band and visuals over the twinkling outdoor pool, with people surreally dressed throughout.

Notting Hill
Notting Hill is a great boutique that brings a British sensibility and whimsy stateside. We partnered on promotional events and marketing. We did a great photoshoot in a local pub to play off of the clothing’s aesthetics. For these photos, I did the fashion styling, while working with a talented photographer and hairstylist / make-up artist.

Juice Fashion
Juice is the local "alternative weekly". These photos are from some fashion shoots that I styled. Shooting high fashion at the Iowa State Fair was certainly an interesting experience! Again, I worked with a great photographer and hairstylist / make-up artist.
z*Town
Now *this* was a wild party. We rented out a 10,000 square foot former bike shop, and transformed it into our version of Venice Beach in the 1970’s. In addition to a multi-level fashion show, we had a live DJ, a punk band, skateboarders, a caricaturist, a henna artist, and girls on roller skates handing out balloons and popcorn. People were lined up to get in... and we *all* had a good time that night!
More zushy* Parties
My first events that I produced were for my boutique, zushy*. Our first show had a drag queen MC and was in an old theater. I did many collaborations with the guys who went on to form Flatform, including a jungle party where we "borrowed" a ton of plants from the local college to a totally debaucherous Rawk’N’Roll pajama party with a bed on premises. Ah, the good old days...
